This will be my 2nd year as Chapter Director and have been involved with the committee for over 10 years.
My very first bike was a Softail Springer, which I bought just for the sound, without even having a test ride - I passed my test a month later!.…... nowaday's it's a Softail-Custom [OK, I like softails].
My childhood was spent in the Midlands, before a Company move brought me to Essex over 20 years ago.
Since going to my first ever European Rally in St Tropez in 2001, it's grown into a passion rather than just another motorcycle club, and have been fortunate in meeting many fantastic people at numerous Rallies I've attended all over Europe, having some unforgettable memories, and making many friends, not only from our own Chapter, but from other Chapters from all corners of the world.

I am lucky to have a passionate committee who together will ensure that we go forward with vigor and enthusiasm in the future months, with a strong membership, we hope to retain the family-friendly, motorcycle atmosphere where everyone is welcome.

We are a very active club, having events every week throughout the year, both socially and riding, with many of our members taking trips not only within the UK, but on numerous European events. So if you want to just ride out for the day, or undergo long holidays in Europe we have the events for you. We also have an extensive web site, detailing events throughout the year, and contacts within the club, events emailed and weekly text and a phone messaging service. A superb monthly magazine "Essex Chapter News" and having BMF affiliation offers other useful information, discounts and contacts.
