Hello and Welcome to the Membership page of Essex Chapter. Hopefully you will find here all the information you need to renew your current Membership, rejoin the Chapter if your Membership has lapsed, or to decide to COME AND JOIN US if you are new to Essex Chapter but currently own a Harley Davidson or Buell Motorcycle and fancy spending some time with other owners. If you are new to the Chapter you will be made very welcome and joining us could be one of the best decisions you have made since the purchase of your Harley Davidson or Buell.

Essex Chapter is a family friendly Harley Davidson motorcycle owners and riders club formed with the intention of getting like minded Harley Davidson and Buell riders together for riding and social events all year round. 2012 is our 21st year, so what a great time to join us? We are an independent Chapter (no longer affiliated to the Harley Davidson Owners Group since early 2011) and we are not tied to any dealership. Essex Chapter is fully affiliated to the British Motorcycle Federation which means that all events are fully insured and we also have all the benefits of BMF membership as described below.

Our Chapter Charter can be seen here and describes the rules by which the Chapter operates and also sets out the Chapter's aims and Code of Conduct which all members will be expected to adhere to.

There are several types of membership available:

FULL Member - a Harley/Buell owner and rider
JOINT Member - the partner of a FULL Member
And
ASSOCIATE Member - a non motorcycle owner but a Harley enthusiast who wants to be a "friend of the Chapter" and to attend the social events.

Memberships run from 1 February to the following 31 January and for 2012/13 the membership subscriptions are:

FULL single membership £24
FULL joint membership (2 people) £30
Associate membership £10

Benefits of Membership:

1. Get to know a friendly group of like-minded Harley owners and riders.
2. An exciting programme of Member Only Events, including riding and social events, all year round.
3. Weekly Member Only pub meets throughout the year.
4. Access to our website at www.essexchapter.com and our Members Only Forum.
5. Monthly edition of the Essex Chapter News (ECN) - which is probably the best e-newsletter currently produced by any motorcycle riders club. From 2012 both the Full and Joint member (if applicable) can receive their own electronic copy of the ECN.
6. Weekly Update - email of forthcoming events. From 2012 both the Full and Joint member (if applicable) can receive their own electronic copy of the Weekly Update.
7. Access to the Essex Chapter HOTLINE, giving up to date ride details
8. Affiliation to BMF with the benefits described here
9. Opportunity to join the Chapter Committee and help shape the future direction of Essex Chapter.
